    [Query-CONTACT VERIFICATION FAILED-{y}]

    AD-
What do you think you're doing?

    OS-
I should ask you the same question, though I ponder your motives as well. Your taste for theatrics is grotesque in its scope.

    AD-
Don't knock it merely because you can't touch it, dog.

    OS-
Dispense with the pleasantries, please, Adam.

    AD-
    What did you call me?

    OS-
Why have you continued your vendetta in the form of messing up a simple fun game on a community website?

    AD-
Why did you call me that?

    OS-
There are very few secrets between us, Adam. You have my name, I have yours.

    AD-
Ah, so it's come to that, then? You think you're the big man on the playground, now that you've only just managed to struggle up to equal footing, David?

    OS-
Whether you deem it a hindrance or an advantage, I will never consider us on the same level, Adam. You can continue your amusing activities if that's really what you want. My request is that you do so in a manner that does not interfere as is has, thus far.

    AD-
I make no promises, and I'd be lying if I said I'd do nothing in my power to avoid fulfilling your demands at all costs.

    OS-
This is really where it falls down, then? Your ego drives you to ruin whatever we have left to enjoy?

    AD-
This is not the first time we'll have come to odds, David.

    OS-
This will be the last, Adam.

  • Difficulties in Posting

I'm having issues at the moment with the auto update feature, so I figured I wouldn't leave it all in the dark like that. It's still processing or thinking about something, or it's just twiddling its thumbs while it tortures me with this damned hourglass. The only thing I got out of it so far is half of an entry about preparing particularly good scrambled eggs, so I'm going to go ahead and set its priority a little lower. Hopefully the next one will be more significant, or at least somewhat interesting.
I was going to say I haven't heard from Stray, but he just called me over skype (surprise), though he didn't have much revealing to say. "I'm working on some more stuff over at LBR, and trying not to ice pick someone in the temple." Sounds a little on-edge.
Finally started answering calls from the rest of our "team." Wasn't made at Index or anything. Just been busy with work, and with this business. Everything looks normal, though.
That's all for today, I guess.

  • Retroactive Updates Initiated

Well, I did something. Not absolutely sure what it is, but apparently it's thinking and it'll update old posts every now and then of its own accord, which is all well and good I suppose.

Stray's apparently getting irritated with the way things are turning out. I'm to understand he's in some kind of trouble. Everyone at LBR is either interested in what's going on, or irritated, or they're being asses about it. That's why I don't really bother with forums, though. People have a habit of perpetuating negativity if they think it'll make them more influential.

That LBR home page things looks like it's back to normal. I asked Stray if that means everything's fine, but he just gives me stuff like "not now, I'm busy." He told me once that the whole thing was supposed to go like "bees" or something, but things fell through when Ascetic Deceit decided he was too good to have to sit back and mind his own business... again with spreading negativity, people.

A handful of people sent me some messages, but they didn't do so anonymously, so I decided I'd take the liberty of eliminating their names but still answering their questions.

Q: How do you know Stray?

A: I already said we met over XboxLive, on Halo3. And before it's asked, no I'm not giving out my gamertag at this time.

Q: What went wrong with Stray/Davy (this question was asked in a few different ways)?

A: Basically what I can gather is that there were teases about changes coming to their podcast in August. Stray had this idea based off of a site about bees somewhere to mess with people and start up a little game. He tried to get me and the others involved, but we don't play FFXI so... we really didn't care. Something went wrong, Stray stopped showing up on line as much, and I guess his game has gone rapidly downhill from there.

Q: Do you listen to LBR? Do you have a profile there?

A: I never listened to LBR before Stray made a big deal about stuff he didn't want to tell us anyway until "the time had come." He's very theatric about the whole thing, and it's irritating at times. No, I don't have a forum profile, but I'm sort of inching into FFXI. LBR made it sound kind of interesting and fun, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Kind of busy now, though. Haven't played much.

Q: Do you have any other blogs?

A: I had a private server where I kept diary entries of sorts as I went through college. It's still housed in my parents' home, along with all their other tech stuff. They're both data analysts. Weird calling. I keep it there so I don't have to worry about forgetting where I put a diary, or worrying about someone picking it up somewhere. A lot of good that did when Stray started dicking around with the software I gave him, but it's more or less my own fault for not tuning most of it properly.

That's all the questions I had... or at least that's more or less what they all said. There were a few others that were asking for pics of me, some of which were rather lewd requests, so I wrote them off as general morons. Either I'll post or something will auto-update as time goes on, I guess. Safe Travels.

  • Hello

Well, if it's going to start, it's gotta start somewhere, and someone's gotta start it.
Hello, my name is Janice, and before you ask, I'm not into LBR and FFXI and all that stuff, or at least not as much as Stray is.
I know his name is Davy, yes. He had this site before I did. I thought he was just giving me some trashy blog, but there's an attached data cache that he thought I'd be interested in managing for him, presumably for free, and this is one of those rare occasions where Davy was right. It's an odd calling, but I figured I'd give it a go while he's busy elsewhere and I've actually got some free time to fill.
So basically, here's what I've found as I've gone through the leftovers of this thing we'll call a "gift." First up, the friends. We all met up some time ago over XboxLive and got into Halo3. Davy was the last to join us, which made five of us in all.

That one's Davy, or at least the best picture I could find of his Avatar in this collection. He called himself Objective Stray, and said it was just a name. I figure there's actually a meaning behind all of the names, but he maintains there's nothing really significant.

That one's Index Active, or just Index. I knew him by his gamertag, before, but we eventually called eachother by nick names we asked Davy to give us. Index might as well be his first name, for all I know. He's a little touchy, and is usually the first to get apprehensive about anything Stray does.

This is Marathon Maniac, or Maniac. He's been a big Bungie fan for a long time. He says "I can't help it" like it's a bad thing, but he and Stray get along really well, simply out of love for Bungie. He's much more laid back than Index or Input.

Fractal Input is... well, shy. He's one of those people who won't tell you what's wrong, but would rather you guessed it yourself, like a bid for attention. Just one of those things. He's really sweet, though, even if he doesn't talk a lot.

I'm assuming if you're here, you're probably from Limit Break Radio. No, I don't keep frequent contact with the hosts. I only keep contact with Objective Stray, and that's sort of a scattered occasion, at present. I don't know who Ascetic Deceit is. I don't. Stray might, but if he does, he's not telling, and if he doesn't, he's probably trying to find out. All I know is, Deceit can't get in here, for whatever reason. At least that's what Stray told me.
I don't know what Stray wants me to do, but I'm Recorder, and he gave me all this info to manage. If you've got any personal questions or queries, feel free to message me here or whatever, but I'm pretty sure I won't have any answers for you unless I find them in this cache myself.

  • So you're going to hold on to it for him? Why?

Why did you guys start calling me Recorder Librarian in the first place?

Well, Stray was the one that named us, really. It all sounded really cool at the time.

I think he envisions us in different ways. He sees us in different roles, in our personal lives.

Doesn't make him any less weird.

I'm not absolutely sure when he's ever made sense, to be honest with you.

Well, right now he's going through a tough time. You guys know how I feel about this.

Yeah, I know, but we're worried. Stray's always been a cool guy, but we don't know him that well in person.

Not as well as you do, anyway, which brings up another of our worries, which is that he could be fooling you.

You're saying I need protecting? Is that what this little piss 'n moan party is about?

Well, I think that's what Index is saying, but I'm actually leaning toward your stance in the matter.

HEY, no, listen! How much have you and Stray spoken?

    A lot.

And has he tried to... well...

Are you worried he's trying to get into her pants, man? How is this even REMOTELY related???

    God dammit, Maniac...

Jeezus, it IS about that, isn't it, Index? I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself. Make my own decisions.

    Then why'd you call US?

    Stupid move, man.

Because I thought we were friends, and I might DISCUSS this with you, not turn it into a highschool-note-passing masculinity test, you fat-headed prat!

Need some ice for that SHEER FREAKIN' PWNAGE?

    STFU, M&M.

I've made up my mind. I'm not Recorder Librarian for nothing.

Well, Marathon Maniac made sense enough for me...

What the hell does Index Active mean, then?

Maybe it's some strange, existential way of him trying to tell you to think before you speak?
